Opinel N°09 Ocean Blue Sailing Folding Knife

The Opinel N°09 Ocean Blue is a multifunctional sailing knife designed for boating, sailing, and demanding marine environments. Made in France, it combines a corrosion-resistant stainless steel blade with practical nautical tools to help sailors handle rope work and everyday tasks on board.

Its 9 cm partially serrated blade is designed to cut natural and synthetic ropes efficiently. An integrated shackle key assists with sailing hardware, while the folding hardened-steel marlinespike helps loosen knots and work with ropes without cutting them.

The blue handle is made from fibreglass-reinforced polyamide, offering resistance to impacts, humidity, and extreme temperatures. It also incorporates a whistle for emergency signalling and a lanyard hole for convenient attachment.

Care and Maintenance

Rinse away salt and residue after use, then dry the knife thoroughly. Although the stainless steel blade offers good corrosion resistance, prolonged exposure to salt water can still cause corrosion. Keep the folding mechanism clean and check that the blade and marlinespike are dry before storage.
